What Types of Contracts Do You Prepare?

Do You Handle Real Estate Closings?

Only for commercial real estate transactions. We do not handle standard residential real estate closings, as we have found that is best handled by firms who specialize in that area and can handle the closings most efficiently, for the lowest fees. For commercial real estate transactions, we do handle closing, as well as preparation and negotiation of contracts and agreements.

Do You Assist With Negotiation of Contracts?

Absolutely. When we work with you on a contract matter, we want to understand the entire transaction and be there to assist you not only with drafting of the contract, but also with negotiation and closing of the deal.

What If I Just Need A Contract Reviewed?

If someone has presented you with a contract that you do not understand, and you want to be sure of your legal rights, we are happy to assist you. We know that the legal terminology used in many business contracts can be difficult to decipher.

It is wise to get professional legal advice before signing any contract that involves a significant financial commitment or risk. The cost of legal advice upfront is generally much less than the cost of a dispute or lawsuit later, if you sign a contract that you did not understand.

If you ask us to review a contract, we would generally talk with you on the phone (or meet with you in person) for a consultation, to understand the transaction and to get a copy of the contract. Then, after reviewing the contract, we would generally meet with you in person, to explain the terms of the contract, and answer your questions about it. We want to do our best to be sure that you understand the contract, before you sign it.

Absolutely. While we try to help our clients avoid these problems, they do inevitably arise in the course of business.
