Debt Collection

If your personal meetings, letters and phone calls have failed to resolve an outstanding debt, it’s time to call a professional: a lawyer experienced in debt collection.

Our goal is to relieve you of the unpleasant and often time consuming burden of debt collection.

Our attorneys represent individuals, small businesses owners, and large corporations in collection matters. We recognize that each collection matter is unique, and will analyze the facts and circumstances to determine the appropriate legal remedies. We also understand how important debt collection cases are to our clients, because your personal or commercial financial interests are at stake.

Where possible, we will work to negotiate a settlement, but if litigation is necessary, we will pursue the debtor with legal action. We will also advise you if we believe a particular debt is uncollectible.

Our services in the Collections area include:

  • Individual and Commercial Collections
  • Drafting and Serving Demand Letters
  • Collection Lawsuits
  • Attachments and Garnishments
  • Filing Proofs of Claim (When Debtor is in Bankruptcy)
  • Motions for Relief From Stay (When Debtor is in Bankruptcy)
  • Collection of Existing Local (Georgia) Judgments
  • Domestication and Collection of Foreign (Out-of-State) Judgments

Our fees are competitive and generally structured on a tiered fee schedule based on the amount of the debt, subject to an appropriate upfront fee and payment of costs for filing a lawsuit.

If we can assist you with a debt collection matter, just call our office.
